Beep beep! Sing along to “The Wheels on the Bus” with this activity and develop your child’s letter recognition and alphabet sequencing skills.

TIME: 10 Mins

MATERIALS:

  • Markers
  • Paper
  • Glue/Tape

INSTRUCTIONS

Draw a large picture of a bus on a piece of paper.

On the bottom of the bus, write out the letters you wish to practice with your child. Leave a bit of space between each written letter.

Create the wheels of the bus by cutting out a series of small circles. Include on each circle one letter selected in step 2.

Have your child match and glue the “wheel” cut-outs to the letters on the bottom of the ABC bus.

TIPS
  • Sing the ABC song with your child prior to this activity to support their recall of the alphabet sequence.
  • If your child isn’t a fan of buses, substitute their favorite vehicle to increase their engagement in the activity.
