LEARNING GOALS:
- Letter recognition
- Fine motor practice
AGE: 3 – 5 Years Old
TIME: 10 Mins
CATEGORY: Literacy, Motor Skills
MATERIALS:
- Paper
- Marker or Pen
- Washi Tape
INSTRUCTIONS
1
Write each letter of the alphabet (in upper case) on separate pieces of paper. The letters should take up much of the space on the paper.
2
Have your child to tear the washi tape into smaller segments and paste the tape on top of the letter outline.
!
TIPS- The fine motor skills associated with tearing the tape will help them grasp a pencil later!
- Work with your child to identify the sound that individual letters make.
- This activity can be used for number recognition and identification as well!
