The ability to recognize each letter in their name is an exciting academic milestone for little ones! This week’s activity is sticky learning as its finest and sure to engage and encourage young learners.

LEARNING GOALS:

AGE: 2.5 – 3.5 Years Old

TIME: 10 Mins

CATEGORY: Literacy, Motor Skills

MATERIALS:

  • Paper
  • Markers
  • Stickers

INSTRUCTIONS

With large print, write out your child’s name on a piece of paper.

Using a page of small blank stickers, write each letter of your child’s name at least 10 times.

Review each letter of your child’s name with them. Ask if they can name each letter and ask for them to make each letter’s sound.

Pass the lettered sticker sheet to your child and ask if they can match each letter of the sheet to the letter in their name!

TIPS
  • For advanced learners, ask if they can think of other words that start with each letter of their name.
