Fruit Count

Teach your child to recognize their favorite fruits! This activity increases their vocabulary and practice their counting skills at the same time

LEARNING GOALS:

  • Vocabulary
  • Counting

AGE: 2 – 4 Years Old

TIME: 15 Mins

CATEGORY: Numeracy, Literacy

MATERIALS:

  • Colored Paper
  • Tape/Glue
  • Marker

INSTRUCTIONS

Make cut-outs of fruits with colored paper i.e. strawberries, oranges, bananas, blueberries, etc.

Using another set of colored paper, cut out squares and label them from 1 to 10.

Have your child paste the the corresponding number of fruits on each labeled piece of paper!

TIPS
  • Talk about each fruit’s shape, texture, taste, color, to expose them to more vocabulary
  • Give your child the actual fruits for snack break to reinforce the new names learned!
