- Clothespin

INSTRUCTIONS

Demonstrate for your child how to clip one wooden clothes pin to the center of each cotton ball. See if they can continue the process themselves.

Space out different colors of paint on a paper plate or palette.

Let your child dip the cotton balls into paint and create their own artwork on paper, cardboard, or aluminum foil.

TIPS- Foster your child’s creative freedom and expression by not showing them an example of what the cotton ball art “should” look like.
- Artistic and creative activities like this one support children’s intellectual development and can increase their attention and concentration spans.
- Introduce and name the different paint colors on the palette to practice color recognition. Explain the difference between primary and secondary colors to older children.
